Remember the BIG dog food contamination scare in the US earlier this year? Well the results of the investigations are in and it has confirmed contamination by melamine and cyanuric acid.
The cases involved 235 cats and 112 dogs, with 61 percent of the cats and 74 percent of the dogs having died. According to the FDA, melamine and cyanuric acid were present together in wheat flour from China that went into the USA manufactured pet food.
