Sometimes I find myself hating the human race!
From the horrid stories I’ve already posted here of cruelty on a small scale, to the tales of dog eating Koreans who have the totally disgusting idea that an animal will be more tender to eat, if it’s beaten while alive!
But here’s an absolutely vile story again from the UK about a group of 4 and 5 year olds who beat a defenceless puppy almost to death! It was rescued by a passerby – but still looks like it may lose a leg!

Cooper the pooch’s old dilapidated neighborhood was being bulldozed to make way for new improved 3 story town homes.
Everything had vanished, including his family, who appear to have moved away and left Cooper there abandoned and alone.
Neighbors were concerned for the little dog and tried to help him, but no one could catch him, despite his busted back leg. However a very persistent Doglover came to the rescue.

Two Michigan men are in jail on armed robbery and home invasion charges. Monroe County sheriff’s detectives said Matthew Klocek-Branham, 22, broke into the Austin home Sunday night and shot the family dog with a .22-caliber rifle.
The dog moved at the intruders who were in the home to attempt to steal drugs, that were part of the home-owners medical treatment for cancer. The dog died as a result of the bullet wound to the head, but the diversion allowed the occupants to flee the home!

News from the USA about training for Search and Rescue Dogs getting acclimatised to air travel and particularly travel in helicopters! While we think nothing of it when we see the news of dogs being used for searches, there has been lots of preparatory work done – just to get the dogs USED to being transported by air!
